Talk-show Tango Nov. 28 – Dec. 2: Zooey Deschanel, She and Him, Jeremy Piven, I Melt with You and more

In television on 11/28/2011 at 10:25 am

There’s a little bit of everything being promoted with guest appearances this week, but my two faves are Jeremy Piven, stumping for a dark little bit of business called I Melt with You and the luminous Zooey Deschanel who is doing double duty promoting her TV show, The New Girl, and her new holiday album via She and Him. Here are a couple of aperitifs and then the usual list. Ciao baby.

Listen: Click here and then click the album icon at the top for a cut off A Very She and Him Christmas.

Watch: Here’s the official trailer for I Melt With You, online now (details in link) and in theatres in December.

Talk-show Tango Nov. 21-25: Jerry Seinfleld cohosts, Jamie Oliver cooks, Feist plays and – gah! – Nickelback is back

In television on 11/20/2011 at 11:52 pm

I’ve been worrying about you. How are you? I mean, you know, without Regis Philbin holding forth on Live! with Kelly? I know. My eyes are still puffy from all the tissue dabbing since his last show, on Friday. But be brave. Jerry Seinfeld is filling in for a couple of days. We’ll get through it together. And it’s American Thanksgiving this week! Sure, it means absolutely nothing to Canadians, but I’m feeling a bit festive and Jamie “I Enjoy Looking Like a Rumpled Bed” Oliver is lounging about on a few shows this week with some turkey-trussing secret or other. Surely I’ll remember by Christmas, which is a shocking mere five weeks away. And Nickelback? I wish they’d stay back wherever they were, but they’re on Jimmy Kimmel Live and Strombo this week. Couldn’t both shows just give more stage time to Feist? Though she does get one lovely spot, also on Kimmel. Ah well. Enjoy.
