According to Variety, the Deadline blog and other sources on Wednesday, May 5, James Gandolfini, star of HBO’s megahit Sopranos series, might be set to co-produce and star in a U.S. adaptation of Quebec’s Taxi 0-22. The TVA series focusses on the life in and outside the cab of Rogatien Dubois Jr., a loud-mouthed taxi driver. The series was co-created by and stars Montreal comedian Patrick Huard. The French-language version has been renewed for a fourth season.

Huard and co-creator Francois Flamand will, according to the sources, also be among the co-producers.
