I'm watching. You're watching. Let's talk.

Talk-show tango June 7-11: Goodbye Bonnie Hunt, but hello late, late late-night Cona O’Brien

In television on 06/07/2010 at 12:17 am

Department of coming and going:

TV giveth and taketh away. As you might already have heard, The Conan O’Brien Show has finally found its Canadian home: at 1 a.m. on CTVs starting in November. (1 a.m.? I already have two shows I don’t make it through at 1 a.m., those being the Late Late Show and Colbert). But at least we’re getting it. I guess.

And we mourn the passing of the Bonnie Hunt Show. Did you miss last week’s finale, too? Click here for video highlights, including the nicest woman on TV’s nicest thank you to the nicest crew on TV for possibly the nicest show on TV. That’s what they set out to do, it’s what they did for two years. After a summer of reruns, the Bonnie Hunt Show will be replaced by some show  that wonders aloud, in a VERY LOUD VOICE, what will possibly happen when the pregnant daughter of a clergyman comes on stage after the break to confront her neglectful mother with the news that she is a hermaphrodite. Or something.
