Talk-show tango Aug. 30-Sept. 3: Don Johnson and Jessica Alba promoting Machete

In television on 08/30/2010 at 9:02 am

We have a load of new shows this week, at last, from Letterman, Ferguson and Fallon, though the Emmy-winning Daily Show and the Colbert Report both slip back into repeats. Next week, though, damn near everybody’s back except Bill Maher, who returns Sept. 17. To celebrate the fresh guests this week, let’s start with the trailer for Robert Rodriguez’s atmospheric Machete, starring Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Don Johnson, Lindsay Lohan, Jeff Fahey, Robert De Niro and Danny Trejo (you’ll recognize him even if the name is not familiar). And yes, thank you for asking, that is my shameless attempt to get more hits on this blog. Sharing the love my friends. Sharing the love. The film, which is being promoted with guest spots by Alba and Johnson, opens in Montreal on Friday (Sept. 3)
