Talk-show tango Sept. 20-24: The return of George Stroumboulopoulos

In television on 09/19/2010 at 10:10 pm

Sure, it’s the biggest week of the fall season with a glut of new shows premiering and returning for new seasons. But what’s stopping the presses on Talk-show Tango this week is the return of Strombo’s week-night talk show. It starts the fall season with a new length (half hour) and a new name (George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight). Guests are damn fine: Robert Plant, Paul Haggis, Anthony Bourdain, Zach Galifianakis and Molly Parker. And if that’s not excitement enough for you, please help me celebrate a major personal victory: I have finally cracked the code of the new Ellen website, so I actually have guest names this week. Good times.
