Talk-show tango Nov. 29-Dec. 3: Hello Chelsea Handler!

In television on 11/28/2010 at 9:00 pm

You remember Chelsea Handler? Saucy-type whose show used to be on the TV talk-show landscape up here in Canada? And then her channel, called E!, went kaput in Canada when Canwest shuttered or sold the stations. Handler and her show, Chelsea Lately, were fine since E! continued undisturbed in the U.S. And good thing, because Chelsea Lately returns to her Canadian fans on the revived E! This is all courtesy of the CTV channel group: Star! is being repurposed as of Monday, Nov. 29. So welcome back to Chelsea Lately and other show-biz type programming like some show involving a family called Kardashian? Never heard of ’em. Handler, you might be even more thrilled to know, is also hosting a special called, uh, Chelsea’s Big Interview Special. That’s Monday only, at 2 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Another programming note: If you’ve heard of the It Gets Better Project, that was launched in the wake of violence against and suicides by gay youth. Many famous people pitched in, doing videos that urged gay. lesbian, bi, transgender and other bullied youth to have faith or shared their own tales. Dan Savage, the founder, is on Colbert Monday night.
