Talk-show Tango May 2-6: Prepare for scrambled and delayed TV schedules

In television on 05/01/2011 at 11:51 pm

As I finish this, U.S. President Barack Obama is speaking live, confirming what the news networks and Twitter and Facebook and beyond have been speculating about since the live address was announced more than an hour before: Al Qaeda leader and 9/11 architect Osama bin Laden has been killed by the U.S.

Kind of puts things in perspective to be gathering talk-show guest lists  when such momentous news is announced. And to make it more surreal, guess who Oprah’s guests are today? Obama and first lady Michelle Obama, pre-recorded of course. Weird. Keep calm and carry on.
