Talk-show Tango Nov. 14-18: Farewell to Regis Philbin

In television on 11/14/2011 at 8:09 am

Get out the tissues. Regis Philbin bids adieu this week to his 28-year hosting gig on the morning show Live! with … Kelly? No replacement host chosen just yet. Reege will be on his pal Letterman’s Late Show, as will Jerry Seinfeld, who will do a few co-hosting replacement gigs next week, followed by Jason Segel, Kim Cattrall and Howie Mandel and a few others. You can read a nice summary of recent speculation (contract dispute? likely successors?) here, from the Toronto Star.
